Statehood for Neighbors

As more people around the world express a desire to become U.S. citizens, the possibility of foreign regions seeking statehood emerges. Studies have shown that many citizens of neighboring countries, especially those fleeing oppression or economic turmoil, look to the United States as a place of opportunity and safety1.

The Life and Liberty Party proposes that for regions where a majority of the population seeks American citizenship, statehood may be a viable option. This would offer a legal pathway for populations seeking refuge, while also expanding U.S. influence and values in areas where democracy and liberty are not fully realized.

By providing a structured process for such regions to apply for statehood, we ensure that those wishing to become part of the United States can do so legally, with full rights and responsibilities, and under the conditions of democratic rule and economic stability.
