Elimination of the Welfare State
The Life and Liberty Party believes the role of government is to protect life, liberty, and property—not to take care of citizens' every need. Welfare programs, though often well-intentioned, foster dependency and remove the incentive for self-reliance.
Compassionate charities, not government, are best equipped to help those in need. Charities, driven by community support and voluntary contributions, are more efficient and capable of addressing the unique needs of individuals. We envision a society where personal responsibility and voluntary charitable action are the pillars of assistance.
Eliminating the welfare state would promote independence, encourage private solutions, and return the government to its core function—protecting citizens' rights without intervening in their personal lives. Let communities and charitable organizations take the lead in providing care and support for those in need.
