Elimination of Lobbying
Lobbying in America has grown into a multibillion-dollar industry, with more than $3.5 billion spent annually by special interest groups1. This massive influx of money into politics gives undue influence to corporations and wealthy individuals, drowning out the voices of everyday voters. The Life and Liberty Party stands firmly against this imbalance of power.
Lobbyists frequently prioritize corporate profits over the needs of the public, pushing legislation that benefits a few at the expense of many. The result is a political system that responds more to the highest bidder than to the will of the people. This fundamentally conflicts with the democratic ideals that our nation was built on.
By eliminating lobbying, we can return the power of governance to the voters and ensure that elected officials are held accountable to the people, not to special interest groups. It is time to end the era of bought influence and restore integrity to our democracy.
